2 CORINTHIANS 10:13

“But we will not boast beyond limits, but will boast only with regard to the area of influence God assigned to us, to reach (extend) even to you.” [ESV]

Extend Partners are E4 gifts who give priority to co-labouring with Mike Eltringham and one another in the God assigned apostolic sphere of Extend. This partnership is centered on the gospel[1], is deeply relational and flows out of mutual honoring and gift recognition.

Teaming with Extend encompasses those E4 gifts and other Holy Spirit gifted men and women who will work with Extend into the sphere/territory God has assigned. It includes those who work regularly and consistently with Extend and those who will co-labour into this sphere on ad hoc basis, as God leads.

The Extend family of churches includes churches who are partnering with Extend to full the apostolic commission to disciple all nations. This partnership is rstly for the extension of the gospel1 but presupposes that a natural consequence of linking local churches and E4 gifts will be the growth of faith in local churches and the expansion of gospel inuence into new regions.[2]

# Genesis Collective is a global apostolic partnership of leaders and churches in the pattern of Galatians 2:9, that recognises the apostolic grace given to dierent men across the world, and provides a platform for brothers to co labour globally.

Implicit in Extend and GC is a desire to recognise and release apostles and apostolic spheres to multiply the work exponentially.

DISCIPLING NATIONS.

MATTHEW 28:18-20

"And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age" [ESV]

TRANSACTING.

LUKE 19:11-27

"As they heard these things, he proceeded to tell a parable, because he was near to Jerusalem, and because they supposed that the kingdom of God was to appear immediately. He said therefore, “A nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom and then return. Calling ten of his servants, he gave them ten minas, and said to them, ‘Engage in business until I come. ’ But his citizens hated him and sent a delegation after him, saying, ‘We do not want this man to reign over us. ’ When he returned, having received the kingdom, he ordered these servants to whom he had given the money to be called to him, that he might know what they had gained by doing business. The first came before him, saying, ‘Lord, your mina has made ten minas more. ’ And he said to him, ‘Well done, good servant! Because you have been faithful in a very little, you shall have authority over ten cities. ’ And the second came, saying, ‘Lord, your mina has made five minas. ’ And he said to him, ‘And you are to be over five cities. ’ Then another came, saying, ‘Lord, here is your mina, which I kept laid away in a handkerchief; for I was afraid of you, because you are a severe man. You take what you did not deposit, and reap what you did not sow. ’ He said to him, ‘I will condemn you with your own words, you wicked servant! You knew that I was a severe man, taking what I did not deposit and reaping what I did not sow? Why then did you not put my money in the bank, and at my coming I might have collected it with interest? ’ And he said to those who stood by, ‘Take the mina from him, and give it to the one who has the ten minas. ’ And they said to him, ‘Lord, he has ten minas! ’ ‘I tell you that to everyone who has, more will be given, but from the one who has not, even what he has will be taken away. But as for these enemies of mine, who did not want me to reign over them, bring them here and slaughter them before me" [ESV]

THE
VALUES.

(TRANSPONDERS)

We ask God for REVELATION so that we OWN these values and not just to agree with them! These are bearings that will keep us on course and help us avoid shipwrecks (1 Timothy 1:18):

1.

CHRISTOLOGICAL.

Christ Centered

Corinthians 2:1-2

Colossians 1:16

Romans 11:36

2.

MISSIONAL.

1 CORINTHIANS 1:17

" For Christ did not send me to baptize but to preach the gospel, and not with words of eloquent wisdom, lest the cross of Christ be emptied of its power." [ESV]

  • Taking the gospel to all nations
    Matthew 24:14

  • Fulfilling our priestly duty
    Romans 15:15-24

  • Looking for open doors
    1 Corinthians 16:8

  • Modus operandi: Disciple nations through church planting and proclaiming the gospel
    of the Kingdom!

    e.g. Paul’s strategy
    1 Corinthians 16:19

  • Jesus recognizes and walks amongst His ‘lampstands’ (churches)
    Revelation 1:10-11

3.

SPIRITUAL.

1 CORINTHIANS 2:9-16

" But, as it is written, “What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him”— these things God has revealed to us through the Spirit. For the Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God. For who knows a person's thoughts except the spirit of that person, which is in him? So also no one comprehends the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. Now we have received not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might understand the things freely given us by God. And we impart this in words not taught by human wisdom but taught by the Spirit, interpreting spiritual truths to those who are spiritual. The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned. The spiritual person judges all things, but is himself to be judged by no one. “For who has understood the mind of the Lord so as to instruct him?” But we have the mind of Christ.[ESV]

4.

ARCHITECTURAL.

1 CORINTHIANS 3:9-10

" For we are God's fellow workers. You are God's field, God's building. According to the grace of God given to me, like a skilled master builder I laid a foundation, and someone else is building upon it. Let each one take care how he builds upon it." [ESV]

  • God is the architect and builder
    Hebrews 11:10

  • He must build the house
    Psalm 127:1

  • What kind of house will you
    build for me?
    Acts7:49

  • What foundations are laid?
    1 Corinthians 3:11

  • What builders are used?
    Ephesians 4:11

  • Where will you build?
    Romans 15:20

  • Who will build with you?
    2 Timothy 2:2

5.

SUPERNATURAL.

CORINTHIANS 2:4

" and my speech and my message were not in plausible words of wisdom, but in demonstration of cthe Spirit and of power," [ESV]

1 CORINTHIANS 4:20

"For uthe kingdom of God does not consist in talk but in power."[ESV]

HEBREWS 2:1-5

"Therefore we must pay much closer attention to what we have heard, lest we drift away from it. 2 For since athe message declared by angels proved to be reliable, and bevery transgression or disobedience received a just cretribution, 3 dhow shall we escape if we eneglect such a great salvation? It was fdeclared at first by the Lord, and it was gattested to us hby those who heard, 4 gwhile God also bore witness iby signs and wonders and various miracles and by jgifts of the Holy Spirit kdistributed according to his will. The Founder of Salvation5 For it was not to angels that God subjected the world lto come, of which we are speaking."[ESV]

  • The kingdom of God is the
rule of God, where His will
    is done perfectly

  • God confirms and establishes
    His purposes through the
    witness of the supernatural!

  • We are to reflect His glory
    2 Corinthians 3:18

6.

RELATIONAL.

1 CORINTHIANS 7:35

" I say this for your own benefit, gnot to lay any restraint upon you, but to promote good order and to secure your undivided devotion to the Lord." [ESV]

  • First our relationship with God

  • Then our relationship with others
    Mark 12:30

  • With wives Ephesians 5:25,
    and children Ephesians 6:1

  • With Ephesian 4 Gifts
    e.g. Apostles 1 Corinthians 9:2

  • With spiritual fathers and sons
    1 Corinthians 4:15

  • With the elderly/youth
    1 Timothy 5:1

7.

INCARNATIONAL.

1 CORINTHIANS 9:16-23

" For if I preach the gospel, that gives me no ground for boasting. For enecessity is laid upon me. Woe to me if I do not preach the gospel! 17 For if I do this of my own will, I have a reward, but if not of my own will, I am still entrusted with fa stewardship. 18 What then is my reward? That in my preaching gI may present the gospel free of charge, so as not to make full use of my right in the gospel.19 For hthough I am free from all, iI have made myself a servant to all, that I might jwin more of them. 20 kTo the Jews I became as a Jew, in order to win Jews. To those under the law I became as one under the law (though not being myself under the law) that I might win those under the law. 21 To lthose outside the law I became mas one outside the law (not being outside the law of God but nunder the law of Christ) that I might win those outside the law. 22 oTo the weak I became weak, that I might win the weak. pI have become all things to all people, that qby all means I might save some. 23 I do it all for the sake of the gospel, rthat I may share with them in its blessings." [ESV]

  • Attitude: be like Jesus
    Philippians 2:5-8

  • Motivation: love like Jesus

  • Standard: be sensitive to other cultures, but courageously call all cultures to embrace a kingdom culture.

8.

BIBLICAL.

1 CORINTHIANS 10:1-2, 4-11

" For I do not want you to be unaware, brothers,1 that our fathers were all under bthe cloud, and all cpassed through the sea, 2 and all were baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea," [ESV]
"and fall drank the same spiritual drink. For they drank from the spiritual Rock that followed them, and the Rock was Christ. 5 Nevertheless, with most of them God was not pleased, for gthey were overthrown1 in the wilderness.6 Now these things took place as examples for us, that we might not desire evil as hthey did. 7 iDo not be idolaters jas some of them were; as it is written, k“The people sat down to eat and drink and rose up to play.” 8 lWe must not indulge in sexual immorality mas some of them did, and ntwenty-three thousand fell in a single day. 9 We must not put Christ2 to the test, oas some of them did and pwere destroyed by serpents, 10 nor grumble, qas some of them did and rwere destroyed by sthe Destroyer. 11 Now these things happened to them as an example, but tthey were written down for our instruction, uon whom the end of the ages has come."[ESV]

9.

MOTIVATIONAL.

2 Corinthians 5:11-17

" Therefore, knowing ythe fear of the Lord, we persuade others. But zwhat we are is known to God, and I hope it is known also to your conscience. 12 aWe are not commending ourselves to you again but bgiving you cause to boast about us, so that you may be able to answer those who boast about outward appearance and not about what is in the heart. 13 For if we care beside ourselves, it is for God; if we are in our right mind, it is for you. 14 For the love of Christ dcontrols us, because we have concluded this: that eone has died for all, therefore all have died; 15 and he died for all, fthat those who live might no longer live for themselves but gfor him who for their sake died and was raised.16 From now on, therefore, hwe regard no one according to the flesh. Even though we once regarded Christ according to the flesh, we regard him thus no longer. 17 Therefore, if anyone is iin Christ, he is ja new creation.2kThe old has passed away; behold, the new has come." [ESV]

  • Fear of the Lord - vs 11

  • Love of the Lord - vs 14

10.

AMBASSADORIAL.

2 Corinthians 5:17-21

" Therefore, if anyone is iin Christ, he is ja new creation.2kThe old has passed away; behold, the new has come. 18 All this is from God, lwho through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us mthe ministry of reconciliation; 19 that is, in Christ God was reconciling3 the world to himself, nnot counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us mthe message of reconciliation. 20 Therefore, owe are ambassadors for Christ, pGod making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. 21 qFor our sake he made him to be sin rwho knew no sin, so that in him we might become sthe righteousness of God." [ESV]
